Chuck, I don’t mind testing, if you want to post a build. I’m currently still on 3939. Haven’t run another scan since last night.
ALL:
Let’s please sit tight unless one of the Engineering team members requests otherwise.
I’ll keep my eyes on the release pipeline and let everyone know when it’s available.
EDIT: It’s passed my “Smoke Test”. No
One more test being run and then it will be released.
ALL:
Deploying now to PlexPass (Beta).
Please test as soon as it shows up for you.
1.21.2.3943-a91458577
Thanks! Assuming I just need to wait until the server says an update is avilable?
I would go to plex.tv/downloads and watch for it. … but I’m also impatient
Will do, wasn’t sure if Betas would show up there. Thank you!
Just showed up in my server, I will download install and run a new scan and let you know
Seems like it’s back to normal scanning speed. TYVM. Kudos to all @ Plex for the fast fix.
Multi-part movies doesn’t work in PMS v1.21.2.3943. @drzoidberg33 / @ChuckPa should i add this as a new thread?
Take this out to a new thread so we don’t hijack here?
I changed the filenames from disc to disk and rescanned. The parts seem to have merged properly and the multiple version earmark is no longer present. I am running the 2 hour old patch of 3943 on Mac.
This is working great for me, thank you! Finished a movie scan in under a minute like normal.
@ChuckPa @drzoidberg33 thanks folks – plexmediaserver-1.21.2.3943-a91458577.x86_64.rpm works perfectly without any performance issues. Thanks for the speedy turnaround on this regression.
does this new release have the new tv scanner still?
Thanks Chuck! All good now.
If it does (with employee flag), it doesn’t show up for us mere mortals.
Sorry about sharing something I shouldn’t have.
It is in there but not completely ironed out (has a few rough edges).
You have no idea how many times I wish I were a “mere mortal”

YES !
Let me know how long the new scanner takes to process all of that into a new library
Seriously? Disc vs Disk? – Someone at Plex is too young to remember what a disC and a disK are! lol
- Disks with a K is for Hard Disk and Floppy mediums – it even includes “floppy disks” in a cartridge like the original Bernoulli disks, etc.
- Discs with a C is reserved for CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Blue Ray, etc.
Plex, please save me from renaming all my multi-disc videos!!
