Latest Server Update Just Spins

current server version 1.18.1.1973

have never had a prob updating the server from within plex, whenever i get an update notification, but this time around i just get the spinning icon with the message “the server “xxx” is installing an update” when the download successfully completes and then i select install…

so can i manually download the latest server from plex’s website (1.18.2.2019 11/7/2019) and install it over my current installation, without screwing up any of my settings or libraries?

thanks for the reply… so is there anything special i have to do prior to installing manually to ensure that all of my settings and, most importantly, libraries aren’t overwritten or altered? thanks again.

Nope, just download and run the installer, the database and settings will remain in tact

How talented you have to be that with every new update you f up the whole application making it less stable every time. Wtf is going on at plex
