I am on the plex pass channels for updates and have version 1.9.0.4252
I have some TV with non-english and have an SRT to go with these. I can play the media OK in VLC with the SRT loded all is good but on Plex I can see it says “subtitles - English srt Forced” but I get no subs, If I switch it to English srt while playing I get the subtitles for a couple of seconds then nothing, same if I switch it back to English srt Forced.
Please don’t enable ‘verbose’ logs.
Settings - Web - Player - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Burn Subtitles” = ‘Always’
Please attach your subtitle file (zip it)
That plays the subtitles fine but I do not understand why I should have to make this a server setting. I could mean sub on UK stuff surley.

It confirms my suspicion where the error is located:
in the component of the web client which overlays the subtitles over the video picture.
By changing this preference you are overriding this, so the subtitles get ‘burned in’ on the server.
Which web browser (version number, pls) are you using?
Have you installed any add-ons into your web browser?
Can you try and compare with a different web browser?
Your subtitle file is flawless, btw.

I can maybe see in it what browser you are using, but that’s it.
