I have had this issue for 1yr+ now, everything works GREAT, BUT, if I don’t close out of Plex Media Player on my nvidia shield, the next time I go to use the app, it runs VERY VERY SLOW, the entire shield is slow, basically unresponsive, until I FORCE CLOSE the Plex player app. (server is on a separate device)
I used to reboot the shield thinking that was necessary, until I found out I can force close the plex app, which is MUCH faster and totally fixes the issue, no reboot needed.
This only happens with plex, and it doesn’t matter where the server is located (tried on multiple different machines) It’;s not related to the server, just trying to exit the plex player app on the shield after leaving it running overnight is unresponsive, getting to home screen on shield, etc. Nothing is playing in the plex app, nothing active, etc, literally just using the app, and NOT force closing it immediately when done using it, causes the shield itself to become unresponsive by the next day, EVERY TIME, very consistent issue.
Am I the only one? Running the latest software on the shield and the plex app, no crazy config changes or anything, I pretty much ONLY use the shield for Plex. (and tidal atmos music occasionaly)
Nothing else running at the time same. (all apps force closed, only plex running)
Would LOVE to see this fixed! (sometimes I forget to force close plex at night, the next day I gotta wait forever to force close it out and make it responsive again!)
