Just made the switch to RasPlex on a Raspberry Pi 2 and so far it runs beautifully… Except for one issue. In the 5 years I’ve been using XBMC based media centers, this is a new one for me and can’t seem to pin down what’s causing it.
During playback, a bar on the left side of the screen appears when the video is filling the full screen. If the video is letterboxed for wider scenes, the bar doesn’t appear. Curiously, the bar also shifts in size as the scenes change… For example, the bar may be 3/4" wide on one scene, but when the camera cuts to a different angle the bar will shift in size down to 1/2". I have even watched it scale as a camera pans out. At first I thought it was the file I was testing with, but nope. It’s across the board.
The horizontal bar varies in size up to ~1" and only ever appears on the left size, never the right.
My TV is set to “screen fit”. I won’t post RasPlex settings because I have tried numerous settings including the defaults and this issue remains.
I’ve uploaded 2 images to imgur so you can see what I mean. The first image shows that even in calibration mode, Plex knows where the edge should be.
Any suggestions?
