Legend of Korra Season 04 EP 1 Metadata issue

Hi,

Legend of Korra S04E01 is filled with the metadata from S04E02. Looking at TheTVDB.com everything is ok so i assume its a bug with the plex scanner/metadata agent or a broken cache of thetvdb.com on the plex infrastructure side.

I'm only running the default plex agents for metadata so no third party code involved.

how to get this fixed?

Udo

it's usually going to be either the agent (the site it's pulling from) or the naming convention. The tvdb is notorious for having incorrect episode numbers but you mentioned it is listed correctly in the tvdb.

with that said, I assume you're using the tvdb agent for tv- is it also on top of the list? what other agents is it pulling from?

Of all the series I have this is the one ep that’s not working out. I really assume it’s an issue with the plex cached version of thetvdb somehow

I've investigated further. it really is a tvdb problem.

when i look at the plex cache for thetvdb.com the gui shows everything in-order.

S04E01 is shown as:

However retrieving the XML for Legend of Korra like the agent does shows a complete different picture.

from the zip d/l'ed by the agent:

  4990560
  1
  4

  The Calling
  1

Does anyone know how to get this fixed?

You can manually change it or Grab another agent. There’s a ‘the movie database’ agent for tv- contains tvdb and tvrage, tmdb. Rage tends to be on point with series sequencing.

Seems to be all fixed now and thetvdb / plex are sending the correct metadata...

Good to hear, they seem to be more inclined to make corrections these days. There was a time when they wouldn't (stubbornly so). That said, I'd still recommend getting another tv agent lined up as there will be the occasional mistake.

ha ha- did you give yourself a 'best answer' for the tvdb correcting itself- and to your own question? :)
