Plex scanned my american dad and family guy episodes and all the epsiodes are out of order and the names are wrong. IS there anyway i can change this.

this is probably an error in the scanner and not of the metadata Agent you are using.
Am i able to add another scanner in or manually fix it?
I have found this to be a problem in the TVDB for American Dad:

Aparently FOX changed the numbering or just .. I don't know, whatever, TVDB is going by what FOX says instead of literally every other source.
I would kill for a metadata agent to epguides.com
Did we ever get a fix for this? i just changed over to sickrage instead to fix the DL issue to max release but plex has now got everyhting wrong :(
I have this problem too. I figured it would get fixed eventually. I guess I was wrong.

I also have this issue… and it seems PLEX’s scanner is the problem, they seem to be using iTunes and other digital platform episode details. Come on PLEX, give us a custom meta data editor or something. Most of us support you, including me.
I have the same issue starting with Episode 4 of Season 11; Ep1-3 are ok, Episode 4+ is no data there, but Season 12 Episode 1 to 15 is labelled with the rest of S11, starting with the labeling ofS11E04…
@Vistarrk you digged a post from august 2016… you do not confirm you metadata agent (TheTVDB probably). TheTVDB is clear it follow the producer/diffuser over other sources. There is a series setting in Plex to display using absolute or dvd order index… what happen then? do the episode get in the right order but the same wrong metadata follow them? tried dvd order agent https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/21141/dvd-order-agent ?
