LG G4 can not direct play MKV HDR with SRT subs after WebOS 25 update

After the update to WebOS 25 (33.21.85) my LG G4 OLED can no longer direct play MKV HDR video files together with SRT subtitles, regardless if they’re internal or external. And regardless of the audio track used (EAC3 or DTS are usually compatible for direct play on the G4). It worked fine before the update.

Interestingly enough, the TV is now able to direct play Dolby Vision video from MKV files, which it couldn’t do before. And that works just fine with SRT subtitles.

So I assume it must be a bug of some kind?

Update: I tried running the same files using Jellyfin, and encountered no issues. HDR running with SRT subs in direct play. So it must be an issue with the Plex app.

Same here, but when I convert them to MP4 they play fine

Gone through my collection and some MKV files play but the majority do not!!

I am using Apple TV 4

Having similar issues here. Sub files work fine on Apple TV and Plex app for Windows but does not work on my Samsung TV app or Plex in Firefox browser.

Its an mp4 file. Samsung TV plex version is 5.93.2. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled to double check. Still doesn’t work. Again, sub file works perfectly in Plex App on WIndows and Apple TV.
