i use plax instalation for several months, and i need to tell you , it isn´t perfect, but it si a great application!
i have a server (ws2k19/i5-8400/16G/1TNVME) with several Big HDD´s , and it isn´t stable, it is VERY stable!
my instalation include 2 samsung 4k tv (2016/2018) and 2 LG (2013), and they work perfect, LG app is old but faster, and samsung is more new, full of details, and more slower.
my problem begin yesterday (29/08/2024, 16:00 HS greenwich). in this moment , plex client give and error , and after restart TV, its say “PLEX is not recheable”, i check everything, and after 1 hour this is the actual condition, samsung tv´s work normaly, plex server work normaly, and both plex client LG Tv are dead,!, and before to answer questions, no updates of server, no change in network, or tv update, only suddenly , ploff!!!
1 tlg tv is network wireless, the second is wired, only plex client is afected, the rest of app in both LG are good ( youtube, netflix, amazon prime, ) what happend? my question is if the plex client lookong for plex web plataform in the boot time, because i cannot set them for local access! theories?? tx in advance

I have the same issue. My LG TV showed “PLEX is not reachable” yesterday (Aug 30, 2024 around 11:30 UTC) and I haven’t made any changes after the latest success (Aug 29 around 14:30 UTC). I’ve tried restarting my router, NAS, TV, reinstalling the PLEX TV app, removing all devices from the “Authorized Devices” list and re-logging on the server side, but no luck.

For the other devices that are under the same network, eg. web and tablet, they are all working fine.

I noticed that my PLEX account was logged out on my TV but when I hit the sign-in button, it returned no response. Not sure if this is related.

Hopefully, this issue can be resolved soon as the entertainment of the elderly is highly dependent on this. Thanks!!

Good evening, the same thing has been happening to me for 2 days, I imagine that as it has happened on 2 other occasions previously, as far as I remember, it is due to an issue of certificates or ssl that they activate in the plex.tv service, which prevents old tvs with nestcast as in my case my LG, from being able to connect to the server to load the local network even. I hope they restore what they have changed so that we can continue to enjoy plex on our old TVs.

Thank you very much team for everything. Best regards.

Plex is now working again on older LG TVs, thank you very much to the support.

Yes, it is working. Thank you all for you!
