LG Player Is Crap

I have been posting about this probably 3 years now. The LG player DOES NOT work well with PMS recordings. It constantly freezes up when activating commercial skip and when turning on subtitles in the recorded video. And this behavior is across 2 different LG tvs, a 2015 and 2024 version. You guys developing this apparently do not test anything.

PMS is latest available for Mac Catalina, both player and PMS running on wired local network.

Playback of recorded video is fine using other players like KODI. On the LG player, if I use commercial skip or fast forward, you get the spinning circle and it eventually errors out. Now if I turn on the option to force direct play, that seems to make it better but subtitles in the recorded video will not display then. This behavior only happens with recorded videos.
