LG Webos 5.45.04 Server Currently Unavailable

My media server is windows, I can remotely access my server from a vast array of devices, which until roughly 3 months ago included an LG smart TV. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app several times but nothing seems to work. I have set secure connections to preferred and all that other commonly searched stuff. It is incredibly frustrating, any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

can you open the app and under Settings>About what does it say for Platform Version?

Do you have the app set to allow insecure connections?

I believe I’ve been experiencing a similar issue. Both my local server and any remote servers have said “currently unavailable” with a “retry connection” button for a while. Reinstall app, restart TV and server, no change. App is set to allow unsecure connections on same network as server as well as prefer unsecure connections on same network as server (this is what I’ve always had it set to). Though I have my local Plex server’s “secure connections” set to “required”.

WebOS Version: 5.45.04
Plex App Version: 5.30.1
Plex App Platform Version: 4.4.0
Plex Server: 1.25.3.5409

I see the platform version says it is under 5.0 so maybe that September 30, 2021 certificate expiration issue applies? But why would the platform version still say 4.4.0 when the TV is running WebOS 5.45.04? I was also using the app successfully until at least late November or early December.

If this is the certificate issue is there any way to allow unsecure connections locally on the server but require secure for all remote connections?

I have exactely the same issue with my mother’s TV. For the past 3 months I have been unable to connect to my server.
Reinstalling the app did not change anything. I would be really happy if a solution can be found by Plex

Exactly the same issue here. Been doing it for months now. I dno’t believe it is the certificate issue, as I have applied the fixes for that.

PROBLEM SOLVED
I had exactly the same problem with my LG WebOS TV.
After reading this thread, I changed the following to ALWAYS on the TV and it immediately fixed the problem.

Plex>Settings>Advanced>Allow Insecure Connections>Always

same issue installed plex on my lg tv - worked fine at first then about a month or so ago stopped - when i try to go to friends server get message

xxx-pc is currently unavailable please verify that server is running and has network connection retry connection

set advanced to always allow insecure connectios

app name: plex for LG
client version 5.40.0
platform version 3.4.0

plex works fine on other devices ie cell phone, computer, just not on lg tv

any suggestions?
