LG webOS Plex 3.60.1 ... Who gave you the courage to release this garbage?

+1 bug report.

  • I got the re-link, to TV bug.
  • I have a TV Show that airs every weekday, this season has ~170 episodes this season so far. When I click on the most recent episode from “On Deck” it goes to the season highliting episode 1. If I then attempt to scroll to the right if I am not careful it will automatically wrap back to episode 1. I cannot “navigate left” to get back to the end, so instead I have to carefully scroll through 170 episodes to the right again.
  • even after selecting the episode from the list, I regularly fail to get the correct episode to play.

The system seems completely incapable of handling large numbers of episodes per season. Old app did not suffer from any of these issues, though obviously there were fewer episodes last week.

My tv is a LG C7-65 inch.

HDR gets turned off when you enable subtitles too. This update has more bugs than roach motel. Rollback please.

Xplay app (LG smart TV) is fine. Not so elegant like older Plex client but looks familiar

HDR will get turned off because the subtitles are being transcoded. Rolling back to a previous version isn’t going to change that.

The current version does not transcode subtitles if you have the current beta of PMS.

starting from the home page, try selecting the Movie category with the arrows on the remote instead of the magic remote’s pointer. By doing the former, you get a toggle to switch between the different categories - super unintuitive

Im having problems with trying to play one version of a film (non-3D) but it plays the other version (3D) no matter what I do. HELP!

THIS SHOULD STILL BE IN BETA - CERTAINLY NOT FORCED
The new interface is awful looking, posters are way too big and too spaced out. Dark background was so much better than this cheap looking lighter grey. No scroll wheel navigation! Down nav not across on a 16:9 ratio screen, what are plex thinking?? Click click click my thumb is killing me. Takes longer to render posters than before even after optimising the database etc. Doesn’t remember list order preferences. Navigation is hard work - did I say that?! Not to mention…startup is temperamental to say the least. Please can we downgrade!!! I really don’t want this bloatware. It was so brilliant before this update. PLEASE CAN WE ROLL BACK?

Like many other has stated; the latest release is totally garbage and making Plex unuasable!!! This release is nowhere near finished and should be put back to the drawing board for a total revamp.

I can live with the new ugly interface, but the things that frustrates me the most is the following;

  • That I cannot connect to my server without having to re-link/ reset the app
  • How slow this version is compared to the old one
  • The buffering icon coming up just a for a split second ever so often, when I actually am able to connect to the server.
  • How this release was forced without informing!!

Rollback to previous version is a must. Why fix something that don’t needs fixing…

I’m having issues as well and desperate for a fix. I watch nearly every night and haven’t been able to watch whatsoever since the update. I have an LG 4k television and virtually my whole library is 1080p and I’ve never had a singe issue in the past, but now it buffers for a fraction of a second every 10-20 seconds, and every two minutes or so it entirely crashes and says something about “conversion failed” in regards to transcoding.

I’ve reset the tv and reset the pc application. Both are up to date. Absolutely no options have been changed since before this app updated itself without my approval. This must be rolled back.

I can’t find anything good to say about this latest change to the previously glorious Plex on my LG Smart TV. :frowning:

Same her. Can’t watch anything anymore on my LG TV due to the H4 codec error…
How can i fix this?

New version 3.60.2 .
After a very quick test not fixed magic control wheel of my lg UH850V

+1, I (along with most) absolutely hate the new interface, point 3 in and of itself is enough to hack me off.

  1. It looks totally rubbish on a 65" screen.
  2. As above, the interface used to be slick and responsive, not slow and nasty.
  3. Agreed.

Whoever greenlighted (greenlit?) this should be pulled to one side and asked to post here and explain to everyone why this pool of bile was released.

I’m livid with this new update, and if you are too then I emplore you to apply the relevant amount of pressure to have this awful update rolled back

Out of curiosity, in the seven week period that the v2 app was available for testing (or early preview if you prefer) how many of you tried it out? And of those who did, how many of you raised any concerns/issues with Plex?

It’s absolute shXt, even worse than the old version. XPlay is what Plex should have been. Just accept that Plex just don’t give a fXck and pay the 7$ or whatever for XPlay.

Had H4 error a couple time. was able to play movies on other devices. reboot the nas and tv solved the problem in most cases.
i have a new issue. my subtitles are disabled in the menu, but they still show up. it works on other devices without subtitles. how can i fix that? really annoying.

and setting serverip manually solved a few connecting issues. still slow but at least working.
design on 55" issnt so bad and a few nice features, but tooooooooo many bugs
