LG WebOs suddenly started freezing

Server Version#:4.8.3
Player Version#:

I cannot provide player version as it is crashing before I can get it.
I have been using plex on my LG tv for years without problems. Suddenly today when I run the plex app it is fine for a few seconds and then the navigation just freezes, and won’t let me do anything.

I turn off the tv and then turn it back on again. Then I run plex. The same thing happens. I have even tried uninstalling and re-installing plex and it still happens.

I have also reboot my plex server. What can I try next?
I can’t watch anything at the moment.

Can you please give some more detail.

Server version and Server OS.

Please follow the instructions for LG logging in the following support Article.

Hi SE56,
This is really wierd. I have been using plex for a few years without problems, and yesterday it kept freezing like I said. I spend four hours trying to get it to work. I uninstalled plex from my LG tv and then re-installed it. It still did not good. Then I turned off the tv and unplugged it. After turning back on the problem still persisted.

However I run plex today and it worked, and it did not crash at all. I do know it wasn’t the server as I shut down the server and run plex on it’s own. My brother has a shared server and it did the same with that.

As for the version of plex it was the one before 1.18.1.2019-c186313fe. However upgrading to this did not solve the problem. The problem solved itself.
The server os is windows 7. I run windows 7 on the server because it has a smaller footprint, even though I run windows 10 everywhere else.

So for now the problem is solved, but I have no idea why it happened, as my tv software hasn’t been updated for a good while. I think it is still running webos 2.0 or something.
