Background: Broke the permissions on my Plex server two years ago & finally found time today to rebuild it. Running in an Ubuntu 19.10 LXC. Created a new user (called plexmedia) and moved the entire library into /home/plexmedia/libraries. Recursively changed ownership of the entire directory tree to plexmedia:plexmedia. Added user plex to the plexmedia group. I can su to plex and view files in /home/plexmedia.

Logged in to the web UI, added the folders to the library. I see folders & files in the picker as expected:
But after hitting ‘scan’ there is still nothing in the UI.
