Libraries and ability to manage them is missing

Server Version#:1.18.3.2156-349e9837e

Player Version#:Web player directly on media server

I haven’t made any changes (intentionally at least), but when I connect to the web URL of my Plex media server running on the same NAS device as my library storage my libraries are all gone, and the option in the menus to manage libraries on the media server are also gone. The only thing I have access to through the web URL is the free online content. This is the same when connecting to my account through any other player as well (PS4, Android, etc.), my libraries and media server are just gone. It’s almost like Plex took away the option to have private media libraries entirely, but I can’t find any reference to that online. I’ve stopped/started the media server on my NAS device and logged out/back in, no change. Any ideas?

A) that’s an ancient version of Plex Media Server

B) Have you maybe recently changed your account password and checked the option to sign-out all devices? This will also sign out the server itself, so you need to manually reclaim it.
If you’re trying to access your server through other apps while it’s not signed in, you won’t see any content or server configuration options… make sure to open the server using its local IP address → http://[Seagate NAS IP address]:32400/web

Thanks for the response. I just updated the media server to 1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277, and I’m definitely logged in when accessing the media server through the local IP:32400/web, my account is listed in the top right, and under ‘Users and Sharing’ I see a friend’s Plex account listed that I had shared libraries with. It even says she’s sharing one library with me and I’m sharing two libraries with her, but I can’t see any information on those two libraries I’m supposedly sharing with her anywhere. I’m stumped. :frowning:

Are any of those libraries showing when you click on More in the main navigation / sidebar?

No. The library shown with the error in the snip I attached is the friend’s library, which is offline because her server’s off. Mine doesn’t even show up in the list anymore at all, and I have no ability to even create a new library.

Can you see/access the server settings?
e.g. Settings > [Your Server Name] > General

Nope, my server name doesn’t even show up in the settings list when I’m logged into [nas-ip]:32400/web . Just my account settings and Plex Web settings.

Have you been using different Plex accounts?

Nope, only have the one account. I think I’m going to try completely removing and reinstalling Plex on the NAS. If it works I’ll have to recreate the libraries, but at least I’ll have them.

Update: figured out after I removed and re-installed Plex that NTP got disabled somehow on my NAS and it thought it was April for some reason, so SSL handshakes were failing. Probably after the last NAS firmware update, as I don’t think I’ve tried to use Plex since then. After reinstalling I was able to re-create the libraries and the server finally showed up locally, but I wasn’t able to claim it for my account to show up in remote apps. Since the server showed up in the local Plex Web UI I was able to pull the logs and saw the SSL TTL error, which led me to the NAS time / date settings. I’m guessing this somehow caused the library to go AWOL in the first place, but I couldn’t pull the logs before because the server wasn’t showing up in the UI and I don’t have direct access to the OS on the NAS. Just a heads up if anyone else runs into this, though I’m not sure just fixing NTP would have corrected whatever made the libraries disappear. I may have had to remove/reinstall anyway. Thanks for the suggestions, Tom!

Correct time/date is essential for Plex. (And for all encrypted network connections in general.)
Not only do the connections between Plex server and clients rely on encryption, but also the connections between Plex server and plex.tv to access your account and fetch metadata etc.
And encrypted connections simply fail, if the timestamps on the network data packets are bearing a wrong time/date.
