Libraries do not show anymore since last PMS update ! :S

Hi there,

So I did update my PMS to get the nice, kickin’ a** fast search feature.
I love the feature but it came with a major issue for me…

  1. When I open the web frontend of Plex, the Discover pages are showing. no issue.
  2. I can switch from one discover page to another by changing “All libraries” to another specific library
  3. When I click on ANY link in the left pane, e.g. Music, or tv shows, or movies, I get an infinitely loading page

SO, I CAN list the discover pages, but I am not able to load any of my libraries anymore inside the web frontend of plex !!!

Here is what I did so far :

  • I tested the same thing using PMS and the ios client, and there, I am able to load my libraries with no issues.
  • I also checked my db integrity and it looks all fine !
  • I downloaded last version of PMS and repaired the install
  • I ran a tail -f on my plex server logs, and NOTHING happens when I open one of my libraries link (literaly nothing, no single log). (ad I enabled debug / verbose beforehand)

Can anyone help me fix this issue ? it is pretty annoying :frowning:

update :

I opened my plex web frontend diretcly from the localhost and…it works.

When I take another machine on the network and connect it through its local IP address, it fails.

So in short :

http://localhost:32400/web/index.html# -> works
http://192.168.1.12:32400/web/index.html# -> fails

it always worked before last PMS update. Any clue how to fix this ?

Did you try to allow insecure connection (from your screenshot) and otherwise made sure that you allowed secure connection with the server and identify properly in.

switching to insecure connection indeed works. But What am I supposed to do to make sure I can connect my server from the LAN without the need to click “insecure connection” each time ?

I tested from outside of the LAN, and then, secure connection just works.

I also have moments when my servers just don’t want to show when using secure connections. I would guess it is an issue with the certificate provider or something like that, after some time, the secure connection is back…

well it happened just after the upgrade to new pms. and it never came back in…days. :frowning:
wait and see.
