Libraries not found after Plex update

Windows 10, Synology NAS DS920 DSM 7.2.1 69057 Update 3 (installed well before Plex update) Plex update Dec 2023

After updating Plex all libraries indicate they are empty. However, all content is still in the folders. Scanning the folders just causes the icon to blink but nothing is loaded. Another Movie (& Music) library was created and attached to the correct NAS folder but again a scan would not reload the movies or music files. The empty notice happened immediately after the Plex download and everything was working properly minutes before the update. So I can’t imagine why any path should be corrupted.

I did check Plex permissions and added full control to no effect.

In 2021 it was posted as Solved “Are they mapped drives on the PC? From the PC can you access the folders on the NAS?” - with the response that this worked. However, the PC is a backup and the data on the NAS needs to be the source for Plex as it was previously.
