My PC had some issues and I had to re-install Windows. All my folders with media are fine, but I had to re-install the Plex Server since it wiped all my apps. Upon doing this and logging back in all of my libraries and playlists are now gone as if I am setting up for the first time.
I can set up the libraries easy enough, but why did everything disappear? I had playlists with custom art, etc. that took forever to have everything laid out that i’ve had established for years. Why would the settings of where libraries are located and playlist organization not be hosted within our account?
Never has been and never will be. Your server is local as is the data for your server. We have no interest in having a database of what is on anyone’s server, which is what 99.999% of our users expect.
I agree with not wanting to know what is on the server, but the server under our account links to the libraries… So why would that link be deleted?
Also in the past when I’ve set up a new computer and downloaded the server it tried to pull up old servers before, this would be the same as I am asking, which is asking to keep that link, not the data…
