Library “Currently Unavailable” on Roku but available on web browser. I have logged out and logged back in on the Roku but it shows library that is hosted on a PC on the same wired network in the home is unavailable. A web browser log in sees the library in the house using the same free account..
Hey! I had this same exact behavior on an Amazon Firestick. Would work on my iOS and laptop no problem, but not the firestick. I fixed it. It’s either one or both of these settings.
In the plex app, I had to include a custom URL that included my media server hostname. http://truenas:32400
The other thing I had to do, and duhh, after wiping and reinstalling, is to set the permission inside the Firestick, in the Plex App, to allow access to local files.
Also, throw in a restart of the plex server. Now I don’t get any unavailable errors, library is empty, (bs I know Ive got files!! haha), and the movie and album artwork is loading. I hope this helps. IF NOT, just enable verbose logs and spend a bit of time seeing if there are any ERROR posts.
Hours after posting the above steps, my Plex is now back to errors reading the library and not loading images. I’m not sure the plex app likes me. My backup (Jellyfin) works great!
