When I created my flex account it was my older computer, I have since upgraded. I’m trying to add my new library but every time I log in and connect to my server and try it will go to my old library even though i’m searching for the folder on my new computer.
Take a look at the libraries you have setup and hit the “Edit” button. That will bring up the Edit Libraries box. From there, hit “Add Folders.” At this stage you should have the folder listed where you have historically had your Plex data.
At this point, you can hit the X to the right of that original folder and delete the link and/or add a new folder by clicking “Browse for Media Folder.”
I just recently had your same issue, as I added a network share to an existing library. If the folder you want is not showing up when you click “Browse for Media Folder,” try manually entering the full network path in that light grey box at the top. I kept looking at it and didn’t realize that I could edit it.
To find that network path, assuming you’re Windows based, you can open File Explorer and navigate to your media folder. Clicking the address bar at the top of that window will give you the network path that you can copy and paste into the “Add Folder” section of the Plex library.
Shut down your old server for the initial setup of your new Plex installation.
You may have to call up the local version of Plex Web and sign out of the web app to see the new server.
Only after you signed in your new server to plex.tv, start up the old server again.
Make sure, that you assigned both servers different ‘friendly names’, so you can tell which server you are looking at.
Then select the server you want to configure by dropping down the server selector in Plex Web and pick the right server.
