So why is it that my libraries just do not update well.
They have things stuck that were added months ago in the recently added
What do I need to do to clean this up.
Without going to all the hassle of removing from folders and re adding etc.

Well you will probably have to give a better explanation of what is going on. Libraries don’t update well is not nearly descriptive enough to figure out what may be the issue.
So not sure what more can say. The recently added items (mainly TV) is not updating properly In position 1 to 5( the latest positions) i have shows that have been n my server for several months. They do not seem to move or finally just drop on the newly add show list
Try doing a Plex Dance with the items that are stuck and then do it with some other files to see if it moves them.
