Library issues with tv shows - Plex is mixing 2 shows into 1

Plex Media Server Logs_2025-10-21_16-41-12.zip (2.0 MB)
I have only 2 shows in my plex Folder, but they are both considered separate seasons of the same show.

The structure of my directories is:
/home/plex/tv/TV Shows/
-Over the Garden wall (2014)/Season01
-Over the Garden Wall S01EXX.mkv
-To Be Hero (2025)/Season 3 - To Be Hero X
-To Be Hero X S03Exx.mkv

I’ve done the plex dance and even deleted the library, but whenever I scan the library files, it always picks it up as Over the garden wall seasons 1 and 3

Any help would be appreciated

I did some testing, creating these folders and was able to get Plex to show them as two different shows.
I am a little confused and maybe it is just because of the way your post is worded. My plex setup use the Plex Agent and hence TMDB by default. I presume you are referring to these two shows.

Over the Garden Wall (2014)

To be Hero X (2025)

I’m guessing you are calling the Hero X show Season 3 because there appears to be 3 show on TMDB named To Be Hero. One in 2016, one in 2019, and the Hero X one in 2025. TMDB has them listed as 3 distinct shows. This doesn’t help your problem much expect you’ll need to change your S03 notation to S01.

Are you pointing your tv library at /tv or /TVShows? It should be pointing at /tv/TVShows. If you point it at /tv, it will group the shows as one show since it thinks the TVShows folder is a show itself.

It is pointing at tv. I moved it to point at TV Shows and it solved the problem. Thanks!
