I managed to solve it now a different way. A while back I setup Tailscale but forgot about it. After another try this morning (not sure why it didn’t work yesterday) I finally managed to access my home network.
This allowed me to work with the internal IP to access the Plex Media Server and reclaim it.
For everyone out there who wants to be on the safe side of always have local network access, go and setup Tailscale.
