For some reason my Plex server will not scan one of my libraries. When I choose the option to Scan Library Files, it does not do anything. Other libraries will show the spinning circle and appear in the Activity section. This particular one (happens to be main movie library) does not do anything. I’m able to play media from the library without any issues and I have verified I can browse all the files on the Linux server side. Please advise.
Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: 3.77.4
I have the same issue … I removed some pictures from a Library and the thumbnails still show up but the pictures can not be opened (because they are deleted). I have tried manually scanning with no change.
Logs please ( DEBUG logging, not VERBOSE)…
Rescan the media
Collect the logs.
It does sound like a permissions problem but the logs will tell us

Please recreate then Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
and attach that ZIP

Forgot to post, You have /mnt in use. Does user plex have read permission?
