Having problems with the library adding some UK TV shows. Currently has added 3 episodes of season 7 from red dwarf but is ignoring the other 10 seasons and episode, all the episodes are using the same naming methods etc and all in the same root folder (Red dwarf → season # → Episode #. Very strange it sees season 7 episode 2,3 and 4 but no others. Also not picking up Still Game at all but recognises Chewin the fat and Reeves and Mortimer. Not sure if thats relevant though. Can someone help? Don;t know where to start 
Try scanning for library files by hovering over the TV show library, clicking the three dots and clicking “scan library files”. This should fix it.
Hi Aussle, thamks for helping. I’ve tried that already i’m sorry to say. I’ve also tried moving the folders out of the library share, re-scanning, moving them back and re-scanning again which got the 3 episodes of red dwarf to show up but none of the other ones

I’m gonna assume you’ve named the files correctly according to the guidelines Flanders linked.
Post some logs and a Plex Employee might come and help out.
I haven’t really looked into the naming too much for now as the 3 episodes that have been detected and added are in exactly the same format as the rest. The only difference between episode 3 and episode 4 of season 7 is that 3 is named 703 and 4 is named 704, both in the same folder. Episode 3 shows but episode 4 does not. Can you tell me the locations and which logs to post?
So basically Plex had a correct “best guess” with the files it identified .
That doesn’t alter the fact that they are ALL named incorrectly.
Until you rename properly them no one will care about logs.

Sorry if that seems harsh… but it’s a fact.
Yup, I am currently hanging my head in the shame of my own arrogance. The files were named 701 etc and plex guessed a few of them obviously that can’t have been the problem (sarcasm) and i couldn’t be bothered renaming them all if i didn’t have to. I’ve changed a season worth to be EXACTLY as the guide recommends and right enough that season has shown up after a scan.
LESSON TO ANY OTHERS READING THIS WITH A LIBRARY PROBLEM: If you haven’t named everything exactly as the guide states but you think you know better cause it seems to be half working, JUST DO AS YOU’RE TOLD FIRST. Then ask for help. Thanks for the help folks, also that link is very handy for making sure episodes are in the db to start with. Thanks again.
