I am running Plex as a server on both my Windows 11 PC and my QNAP NAS. They both are set to synchronize to the library on their local disk space, which the music files are synched between the two with a third-part app. When I go into the Windows 11 Plex server and perform an update of the Library, it doesn’t list any music, even though I’m pointing it to the correct directory. At least with the QNAP NAS, it does list most…but not all the music in the library, even after repeated rescans. Any ideas what I can do to ensure that when I tell Plex to update the library, that it actually learns all the new files in the library? Thanks a mil!
Going to bet its a file permissions or corrupt database. Without server logs we cannot narrow it down.
How does one rebuild the database? Or should I just uninstall and re-install it?
@thedea5 I would start with a copy of your server logs and we can try to narrow down the root cause instead of throwing random ideas at the board.
