I just purchased a lifetime pass that doesn’t seem to be tied to the email address I set up my Plex server with. It seems to be tied to an email address/login that I didn’t set up my Plex server with somehow? I followed the link in the email with the special code I was given and I don’t recall seeing the opportunity to even put in the account info I used to set up my Plex server.
It’s all sort of confusing and I’d like to have support PM me if possible since I don’t want to discuss email info, etc. on the open forums.
I got the offer from Plex in my email and followed the link through the billing process. I will submit an inquiry through the link you provided, much appreciated.
the email offer is tied to the account that the email was sent to.
so if the email that you got the offer, is not the same as the email of your plex account that you are using, then that is why.
if you don’t want to wait for plex billing, you can log in to plex with the email from the offer, makes sure the account says plex pass, then sign out of your existing server account and into the new one.
of course if you have a bunch of users or devices setup on the old account, then you would have to change those too.
That’s the confusing part as the email was actually sent to the the email address I set up my server with. It appears I may have (at some point in the past) set up another account and it got applied to that. I did see the Plex pass active on that “other” account.
