Limit Remote Stream Bitrate and upload speed settings

In the Remote Access settings you can set your upload speed and a max bitrate of a remote stream. If I enter in a number for the upload speed, will plex limit streams at that point?

Say I put in 10 for upload. If I select 4mbps as my “limit remote users bitrate”, will plex then only allow basically 2 streams? Can I leave the upload blank and still use 4mbps as the max bitrate and be ok?

Trying to understand how those 2 options work.

They’re both Plex pass-only.

Correct - I have the plex pass and like i mentioned, I can change those settings, but if I leave the upload blank, is that ok? Does putting an upload speed in there actually limit how many streams?

If you set both an overall bandwidth and a per-stream limit, then yes, I think an “excess” user might get a response about ‘server overloaded’ or some similar wording.
