Remote Access option for Internet Upload Speed missing

Server Version#: 1.31.3.6868
Player Version#:

During remote viewing I am getting a “Cannot direct stream. Video bitrate is greater than allowed quality setting” on the client when viewing the data. When I go to the Remote Access settings on the server I do not have “Limit Remote Stream Bitrate” or “Internet Upload Speed” option under my remote IP settings. I have “Show Advanced” selected. I have looked all over the place to see if I have some default set. Just not sure why I do not have the options showing up so I can enter the correct settings. Am I missing something?

That particular setting requires and active Plex Pass subscription. From the relevant support document:

Limit remote video quality

You can set the maximum speed at which any individual playback stream can upload. For instance, you might decide that you don’t want any individual remote stream to go over 4 Mbps, even if you have a higher total internet upload speed and allow multiple streams.

Tip!: This feature requires an active Plex Pass subscription for the Plex Media Server admin Plex account.

There’re client-side settings as well which controls bandwidth restrictions (local/remote) which might be in-play as well. You may want to check those.

Oh, that makes sense. My bad. Thanks for the reply
