I’ve tried scheduling a recording for “The Dark Charisma of Adolf Hitler” on PBS.
After enabling New and Repeated Airings, I see a large number of airings in the schedule:
BTW, start times are showing the offset to start recordings 5 min early.
I thought I could reduce this large number by using the Limit to Airing Time option:
But regardless what time I’m choosing, not a single airing show up in the schedule. For example, after choosing 07:20 PM which should be the next airing tonight, I see this:
Another issue with the Limit to Airing Time feature is that the times shown don’t reflect the chosen format, i.e. the show in AM/PM format when Plex is set to 24h format.
Thank you, as this seems to be a programming error that has existed for some time. It is even more important now as there is some learning programs being broadcast by PBS in some locales to supplement home learning during the covid19 pandemic, which are repeated numerous times throughout the day and are not necessarily new programming.
(DVR) Server would display incorrect times under “Limit Airing Times To” advance recording option (#11362)
N.B. Downgrading from this release may result in DVR recordings with an airing time restriction failing.
So if ever downgrading from this beta release, any DVR schedules created with “Limit to Airing Time” would need to be deleted and recreated.
(Note: there is still a Plex Web display bug relating to use of “Limit of Airing Time” where there may be occasions when the “DVR Schedule” and “Recording Priority” show the wrong times - this does not affect the actual scheduling that Plex Media Server is using and is just a Plex Web display bug that will get fixed)
