I was watching some episodes yesterday.
On NCIS I had a sync problem of ~15-20 ms, which is rather irritating since the steps to correct lip sync is 25ms.
The next episode was NCIS Los Angeles which had no sync problem at all.
Anyone else experience different lip sync problems for different episodes?
I would've assumed that it was the same problem with all episodes, not just a few.

Are you sure that the sync error is due to RasPlex playback methods and not due to incorrect encoding ?
Depending on how the media was captured and/or ripped the video and audio tracks may have been processed separately, with slightly different process delays before the actual encoding. This will then result in a sync error for most playback methods.
In other words:
If you take the same episode file that RasPlex failed to play with correct sync, and play that file in another media player, does it then play with perfect sync ?

I had this problem on my windows client and now rasplex. Initially I didn't have this problem on either until I had switched the video to sync with display (so 24p movies would change the refresh rate to 24Hz. I also had my default refresh rate set to 24). I tried every combination of audio/video sync on the options and on some videos, it would never work and I had to adjust the audio offset manually (this occurred on both the windows client and rasplex). I could load up the video in VLC, and it was synced correctly. The way I fixed it on my windows and rasplex client was to just set my refresh rate to 60 in the client, and uncheck "sync playback to display". After that, I didn't have any issues 99% of the time, unless there was really an issue with audio/video sync in the file, which I would check with VLC on a different computer. I don't ever recall having a problem with AV sync on movies with my refresh rate set at 24Hz with either client, only on TV shows.
I haven't seen any problems since I upgraded to 0.6 so the problem could have been the "sync playback to display".
I played around a bit with the setting with .51, but with 0.6 I just changed the DTS and DD settings.
