Is there a way to view a list of files that have not been added to a library? I was recently looking at my library of movies and 910 movies appears in Plex, but if I count the files in Windows Explorer, there appears to be 916. What I want to know is whether there is a log I can find of the files that have been scanned and skipped from the library due to a formatting issue so I can easily go and fix them for adding to the library. In Plex/Web - select your movie library. Change the filter from “All” to “unmatched”
In my library I have a similar discrepancy and it is the extras I have on 2 movies. They are counted as a file in windows, but not in plex since they are extras and not standalone movies
You may also want to sort your library by anything other than “By Title” for the purposes of comparing the counts (By Year, for example). If you use collections and exclude movies in them from your view, “By Title” won’t show them in the total count.
Thanks for the help everyone! I was able to find an unmatched movie and several duplicates using that feature that I was somehow overlooking.
