Whenever I click on an album, in my browser (Firefox 137.0.2 (64-bit)), when I then go back or click on the library name, the library displays in grid view using DVD shaped rectangular thumbnails. The grid icon top left does not show any other view options.
I have to “click away” on a test library I have & then click back onto the main library for it to then display correctly in my preferred list view (with the usual set of options appearing under the grid icon top left.
Is this expected behaviour?
I have the test library (with only 2 items in it) because sometimes, when I drop an album into the main library, if it doesn’t file properly, it can be almost impossible to find it, so I can drop it in the test library & see how Plex is seeing it.
When I click on the test library, it always displays correctly, with my chosen list view, so maybe it’s the sheer size of the main library (20,000+ albums) that causes this?
Is your server busy with additional tasks at the moment? Like scanning libraries, adding metadata, or computing-intensive analyzes?
If one of your server’s libraries is relatively new, it might be busy with performing analyzes.
To be able to work with the server, you better set all the analysis tasks to only “during scheduled tasks” and avoid “when media is added”.
Then edit the time of the Scheduled Tasks to a time where you are less likely to actually use the server. (But during which the server machine is still powered on, ofc.)
