Sometime back around the Olympics I made many DVR recordings. Shortly after, i started having trouble with PMS failing to stream live TV and becoming unresponsive to TV show and Movie requests on any of my clients.
What I have tried:
- Test hardware for problems (none found)
- Stopping PMS, renaming the CODEC folder and restarting PMS. (Same problem)
Symptoms:
When clicking a program in the live TV guide, the program doesn’t play.
PMS status says “live TV - recording”, but I am not recording.
Upon the above failure, Plex no longer responds to requests from a client for other media.
Attempts to shut down PMS (with the tray icon “exit” fail to terminate PMS (still in task list)
Shut down PMS from task manager succeeds.
Repeat the above
As long as live TV is not selected, TV shows, music, photos, movies all work normally.
There is a lot of debug output, I can provide. I am hesitant to just upload the debug log because I don’t know what network information could be exposed and what security risks that exposes. Do these symptoms point to an obvious (to someone else) problem?
