I am new to Plex, I recently set up a home server using unRaid and purchased the lifetime Plex pass. I am hitting some frustrations here though. Right now, my biggest issue is the fact that I bought one of those HDHomerun Quad tuner boxes. I got this because my TV does not have a built-in tuner. I have a large antenna on a pole outside and I get insanely good reception. I like in Mesa AZ and I can even pull in some channels from Tucson. The issue I have is the DVR settings will not allow me to add several channels I have available. The silicon dust software pulls them down, why is Plex just refusing to tune them?
At 120$, I would REALLY like to be able to have at least everything I paid to have, which is LiveTV and DVR from within the Plex UI. Unfortunately, I couldn’t test this feature out without purchasing Plex pass, I hope buying the lifetime wasn’t a mistake and a waste of money. This is really the whole reason I ponied up the cash for the pass and decided I may as well not have to deal with the whole monthly BS.
