I currently have Live TV setup on my Nvidia Shield TV, but I can’t find any setting to turn off Closed Captioning. It appears on every channel. The same when watching on my Android phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a good evening.
There is not an option for that on Android. an issue has been filed but I can’t provide any ETA
This problem still exists and it’s been 7 months without a resolution. Are there any plans to get this resolved? I paid for a Plex Lifetime Subscription to use the Live TV function. Why is this so hard to fix?
Interesting. I can’t get closed captioning to display for recorded TV at all. I enable it from the “CC” menu, and it acts like it’s doing something, but nothing ever shows up on player.
Are you using Android TV?
NVIDIA Shield TV which I believe runs Android TV.
Only way I could fix this was to turn off subs globally for Plex, but then I had to manually find/enable them for any movies I wanted them on for.
