Live TV & DVR error message - Error code: s1001 (Network)

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6406
Player Version#: Version 4.87.2 (assuming this is Plex Web)

Running on Windows. I can watch videos from my media library but can’t watch live TV. I can watch live TV from my Apple TV but not from the Windows PC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PMS (including deleting registry entries and appdata). I have also tried with both VPN and Virus software off.

I haven’t had a reply in 3 weeks on this. I’ve tried reinstalling with the same issue. Have I posted this in the incorrect place to get support from Plex?

Couple of reasons for no response:

  1. You didn’t include all the logs in the zip.
  2. Plex doesn’t support xTeVe or issues where it is in use.
  3. VPN’s cause issues for Plex even if not running.
  4. The 1.30.xxx branch of Plex has a new transcoder and unknown issues.

Plex starts live streams with defaults based upon the client type because it doesn’t know anything about the media. In the case of Plex Web, xteve is presenting a stream it can’t handle.

Have you tried the two Plex clients - Plex for Windows or Plex HTPC? They would have a greater chance of direct playing the stream like the Apple TV.

Yes, I’ve had the same problem with Plex for Windows. What is weird is that this used to work.

Should I try and older version of PMS? If so how do I go about getting it and which version should I try?

Hello,

I have the same problem since the update.
Version 4.87.2 - 1.30.0.6486-700
Some TV channels work, others get an error message and it takes a long time to load. Although EPG etc. are displayed.
In any case, it’s not the Fritzbox or laptop/cellphone/beamer.
The same error message on all devices!
“Could not tune in to transmitter. Please check receiver or antenna.”

The full logs just have more errors relating to Networking and unable to reach addresses, eventually you will have to resolve those.

You could look in C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates to see if you have a 1.29.2 version, you will have to uninstall the newer version to be able to install the older one. Otherwise you will have to search for an older version as Plex doesn’t keep links active for them.

Same issue here. I had to downgrade back to 6364. Everything seems to work on that version.

I’m having the same issue with the latest server.
I have two servers one cloud and one local.

The funny thing is from cloud server I can’t stream any live tv. But from local server I can stream only if server is not streaming any local media.

And this started with latest update.

Funny thing is it is working OK on android phone.
It also works on android TV but there is some stuttering.

This is the error I get on Plex for windows: Error code: 4294967283
This is the error I get on Plex Web: Error code: s1001 (Network)

On Samsung TV I get http request failed.

i go back to 1.29 Version. All works fine. I Wait for the next Update.

Similar or same problem:

Did anyone find a fix for this? Struggling to find the version @dank downgraded too earliest I have is 6654 and still has the issue

I’ve downgraded to this one and works fine 1.29.1.6316

No news about this right? I am still having this issue.
Now I even moved to LXC container to test it and the issue persists.

I can’t run Live tv if the system transcodes session.

I’m having some issues getting Live TV on Plex to work on new installs of Truenas Scale and Core. Using xTeVe as proxy, and I’m getting Error code: s1001 (Network) when I try to watch Live TV. No issues watching video from my library.

I’ve tried fresh installs of both Scale and Core on 2 different computers with the same results. I must be missing something obvious.

I would like to note that I do have a functioning TrueNAS Core / Plex / xTeVe instance working here, so I’m puzzled why this new build doesn’t work.

Server log attached.
