Live TV & DVR Tuner Setup just spins

Server Version#: 1.30.2.6563

Hi, I just had to setup Plex again cause my Unraid server crashed my last one on a big batch update (won’t do that again). Switched to the linuxserver Plex docker and setup seemed to go smooth till I tried to get the Live TV & DVR HDHomeRun Tuner going. After I add my zip code it just spins (photos attached) finding the guide data. Anything I should try to get it going again?

Anyone? Really want to get my DVR back going again.

Zip code should only be 5 digits.

Tried it both ways, same thing.

Database is either locked doing updates or corrupt. Did you delete all the meta data and start over or just reload Plex? If the latter then the database is probably corrupt.

Was running the binhex-plex docker before that had everything in that. Deleted that folder and started new with the linuxserver one. So nothing should (I think right?) carried over from the previous Plex server setup.

Weird it picks up the HDHomeRun tuner just fine, just at the next step gets hung up. I’ve seen this happen to other people, but found no solution there.

Deleting the docker only removes the application part leaving behind all your metadata. If you truly want to start fresh you have to delete the contents of where you pointed the /config.

You could get to the database directory and restore a backup.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I did. In my appdata folder I deleted the old docker folder there. Then installed the new one. So that’s what I’m saying I don’t get how it’s reading the old metadata since I deleted the old folder and it’s now pointing to the new one. It was a completely new setup.

Think (fingers crossed) I got it. Just decided to screw it and deleted the docker then the appdata folder and reinstalled. Didn’t load any Libraries and the first thing I did was go to set up the HDHomeRun tuner. That picked it up this time! Refreshing the guide data now and now setting up my Libraries.

Might have spoke too soon. Seems it’s not getting the guide airings and I’m getting a Unknown Airings after the refreshing guide scan. Ugh.

That could be a client issue but you can always delete the epg db files (with plex stopped) and it will recreate them when you refresh the guide.

Search for files that start with tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud*. There should be 3 files, 6 if it failed while refreshing which does happen hence the delete and refresh.

Thanks for the help. Last night I took another stab at setting everything up new (removed docker, deleted appdata folder) and ran the setup again without adding any library folders yet. Let it run over night and checked it this morning. Same thing at first, but then I refreshed it and it populated! Tested out a few channels and that’s working fine too. Fingers crossed it’s good to go now. Really weird behavior. Appreciate the help!

I have an AverMedia A336 Polaris mini card digital tuner on a Dell AIO w I5 that Plex finds the card and scans channels and finds nothing. Yet when I installed MediaPortal2 it finds all the channels available to my area. I’d like to use Plex with this card, if not install a mini usb internal card that will work with plex.
