Live TV for friends or added users?

I want to share my plex with a friend so that he can watch live TV from my plex, not only the media stored. I have tried adding a friend and existing plex user (he has a plex pass). With those 2, he cannot see the program guide and watch live TV, only the “movies”, “music”, “photos”, “TVShows” and “news”. If I give him my user, which I set up the Plex server, now he can see the program guide and live TV.

Is there a way to create a user for a friend to watch live TV? I don’t want to give him my plex master user.

He tried with Roku client and web page.

Thanks! I did look at a few pages of searches, did not see this one!

Only people you have invited to your Plex Home can be given access to Live TV. Regular friends will not have the checkbox to enable it. The work around to using the local instance of Plex Web has been patched and no longer works.
