I currently have a Tablo in my house that we use and love, but I am considering switching over to Plex LiveTV since Plex is really where every tv in the house pretty much lives. My question is people I have shared my server to, am I able to share my livetv to select people as well? Or is it limited to my account specifically? My in-laws cut the cord along with us and are about to invest in a Tablo, I would rather just give them the ability to stream their tv from my server.
Currently that is a limitation listed on the [“Watching Live-TV”](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/115007689648-Watching-Live-TV ““Watching Live-TV””) guide:
Live TV viewing cannot currently be shared. Only the Plex Media Server owner account can currently watch live TV
You could install the HDHR Viewer 2 Plugin and provide your child with a set list of LiveTV channels which he could access via his account that is if you use the HDHR…
You can share all the DVR content just not Live TV!

It doesn’t work for me. “Live” section not appearing. Any idea why? I’m using the PMS on a Synology DS1511+
When I access my Plex server via www.plex.tv, I have the option to allow a home user to have access to Live TV.
However, if I try to do the same directly by connecting to the server this option is not listed. Thus I suspect that
the version of the Media Server I am using (Version 1.10.1.4602 for Linux [CentOS version under OpenSuse])
does not support this option (yet) since it seems not to work.
However, the HDHR Viewer installed via the unofficial store works for all home users. But it seems to interfere with
the DVR schedule without warning (I have to check this further).
Is there a chance to share the LiveTV with Plex Friends too? With the Plex Home Users it is no problem but with the Friends I can share the librarys and Plugins only.

I found the option to enable sharing for home users under Settings -> Users -> My Home -> (UserName) -> (Edit button) -> Restrictions -> (“Allow Access to Live TV” toggle).
There is no option for “Friend” users - just users in the “My Home” section.
