I am having an odd issue with Plex Live TV. I have narrowed down the issue to playback of one channel (CBS 46.1) on my Apple TV. I get occasional freezes but only on that channel. I have eliminated the antenna, amplifier, coax, and HDHomeRun as the possible culprits. If I tune to CBS direct on the TV there is no issue. If I use the HDHomeRun app on my phone or computer there is no issue. To make things even more odd, it seems to stream fine on my Windows computer using the Plex app.
Plex is running on my Synology DS918+ NAS with 4 spinning HDD’s and no SSD cache. Could the issue be the transcoding that the server has to do for Apple TV? It just seems weird that the only channel I have noticed the issue with is CBS, so I am not sure.
I just purchased the lifetime plex pass for the live TV functions and I am worrying if I made a good purchase. I am hoping someone here can help me with a setting that I can tweak or something like that.
