Never seen this before. All the guide information is filled with series and episode data instead of program names.
This strange behaviour is only shown on the guide when viewed through Shield or Smart Devices.
The Plex Live TV guide on the web interface looks normal.
Any ideas of what went wrong here?

After some more testing, I have found that other XMLTV guides also exhibit the same issue.
Only when using an OTA guide did the problem resolve.
So it looks to be an XMLTV guide problem.
This has only just happened in the last couple of days.
Other users are also reporting this problem.

What would be interesting to know is if this is restricted to XML guides from IceTV or whether other EPG sources are also affected.
Not a single one of those Reddit users mentioned their EPG source.
I also tried an XMLTV guide from https://www.xmltv.net/ and the bug was also present.
So this doesn’t appear to be isolated to IceTV.
This is happening to me too. Web guide fine, android app using episode names. Not using xml, just standard UK freeview guide. Have deleted dvr & readded, problem still there.
So I assume this has nothing to do with the XMLTV EPG but rather with the Android TV app in general, right?
I can repro on my Shield TV and Android mobile as well.
Correct, I believe it is a bug on the client side using the Plex app.
Using an OTA Fetch guide is working fine for me, but all XMLTV guides were the issue. Please fix.
I’m having the same issue, it started last week. I’m not using XMLTV data, I’m using ’ Local Broadcast Listings’.
This is happening on my Shield client and FireTV clients. The web client and Windows client are fine. I’m located in Canada.
Might it be related to the changes to the program guide lineup for Canada, UK, Australia, Europe?
Hello, just checked again this morning, it’s still not fixed, please escalate.
I’m in Australia, Freeview and Fetch OTA guides are not accurate so we require the use of the XMLTV feature.
Same issue. Guide displays correctly on the webapp, so appears to be an Android issue. I haven’t checked on iOS [edited] but it does work on my Samsung TV
[edit] apparently it is also not working on the Windows Plex client. I don’t have this, so can’t confirm or not …

A fix has just been produced for Plex for Android and will make its way into the release cycle
@sa2000 Do you know which version this fix was released in? I just got a beta update (10.2.0.4374), but the issue still remains …
It has not been released, The fix has just been created, It will get into a release and then that release will go out after beta / QA
I expect to be in the 10.3.0 release

Adding to the list of people with this problem. Thankfully DVR is still recording, but browsing the epg is now next to useless on phone, tablet, and android tv. IIRC this is also affecting Plex tv streams.
