My server, running on a Macintosh, has a problem with the guide data for the Live TV/DVR service. I will load up the player and open the TV guide and it will be blank. If I go into settings for Live TV and DVR, it says “refreshing guide data 0% initializing” and never gets past that. The workaround is to quit the Plex server and restart it. This usually causes it to refresh the guide data properly. I have an HDHomeRun Prime with Comcast TV service.

I have been having similar issues with the EPG. It seems to be timing out when downloading.
I have deleted the files on the server and letting it rebuild as a work-around. Not a great solution though.

Thanks for the tip - when rebooting the server stopped doing the trick, I deleted the EPG database files and it rebuilds them from scratch which seems to work. I hope I don’t have to keep doing this.
