Live TV has not worked at all since several versions of Plex

Hello,

Since several versions of PMS, I can no longer watch live TV at all, no matter which client I use (Android TV, Android, Windows, PMP, Plex Desktop, etc). The recording, on the other hand, works quite normally. The error message I get when I try to watch live TV is the following: “This live TV session has ended”.

My tuner is an HDHomeRun Connect Quatro with the latest firmware available (20190815beta1) and I live in France, so it is the DVB-T TV channels that are received. These channels (for the most part) have several audio channels, as well as integrated subtitles.
PMS is in version 1.18.1.1973.

What I don’t understand is that there are several versions of Plex, everything was working normally. But I don’t remember from which version, it started not to work at all. At the time, I thought it was a bug that was going to be fixed. However, several new versions of Plex have not changed this. So, I thank in advance those who can help me to solve this problem.

If PMS is installed on Windows you can rollback fairly easily:

Try 1.18.0 first and if that doesn’t work find the 1.17.0.1841 release.

EDIT: Meant to say also that

is a beta release. You may want to go into your Server settings under General and set your update channel to Public.

Okay, thanks, I’ll try a rollback. However, in an article on the support, the following mention is made in the Limitations category: "Closed-captioning or alternate audio channels are not currently supported for Live TV. I remember reading this article before I bought my tuner and I don’t remember seeing any such limitations at the time…

Ok Darcilicious so I rollback to 1.16.5.1488 version of PMS and now Live TV works again… Now I’m afraid to update my PMS, even from the public channel.

Edit : When I update to 1.17.0.1841 version as you recommend, now I have this error message with all my clients when I try to watch Live TV : “Playback error : Cannot convert this item. Implementation for subtitle encoder ‘vobsub’ not found.”
