Live tv hosted on shield server, works everywhere but the shield

Hi Guys,

I’m having difficulties with my setup. When I initially set up my Shield I had the tv & dvr running from another Plex server from my desktop pc and all was well on the shield player. However, I don’t want to rely on the pc being on so I’ve set up the dvr on the shield server. However it won’t work on the shield player and I just see “No items to display This directory appears to be empty”.

Funny thing is I can access guide fine on the web player.

I’ve tried uninstall and reinstall in Plex
I’ve reset factory settings on Shield
I’ve logged out and in several times

Any ideas?

Update your Plex Server version.

Thanks but I’ve done that, by uninstalling and reinstalling the app on the Nvidea Shield it should automatically install the latest.

Thanks Tiebierius, that took me on a journey with a positive ending. I went in to the playstore and sure enough the server required an update. Everything is now working beautifully - the Shield is actually an awesome bit of kit. So nice to have a nice all in one solution now.
