Live TV Not working Since latest Beta Version

Thank you for the info… I fixed it by goi g back to previous version.

Yes, I used my hdhomerun though windows 10app and I also used it though firestick… Hdhomerun worked fine though them but not through plex until I uninstalled the previous version with an the older version.

The 5-second timeout was introduced in version 1.13.8 - so 1.13.7 beta or previous public version would have the more relaxed timeout period

Hi

Any idea on what type of time frame we are looking at for a fix?

Thanks

Sorry i do not have any information on that. I am hoping it would be within the next 2-3 weeks

Thanks for the update

So I had some time today, and I updated my plex to the newest version… Still get the “unable to tune channel”… It’s like it times out on hdhomerun… Light turns green to show active tuner, but turns off after 4-5 seconds… Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks

Any update on the fix to this issue, I’m no expert in coding only dabbled in the past but I would have thought changing the time out from 5 to 10 or higher would have been an easy update!

Hi all,
I’m having the same issues. My system is a i5-3330, 8Gb RAM, Nvidia GTX-750ti with 3 Hauppage WinTV DuoHD tuners connected. The issues I’m experiencing are either when we’re watching a channel and PlexDVR starts recording it drops the channel out, or when someone on the Network or over the Internet that I share the server with changes channels it drops a channel to show “Playback Error”

I’ve tried it both with and without Hardware Transcoding switched on, but the same issue occurs. I’ve attached 2 sets of logs October 29th is with HW Transcoding and October 30 is without when the issue shows up.

Here’s hoping someone gets it fixed in the Development team sooner than later as it’s beginning to drive me nuts with my 3 yr old son wanting to watch his Childrens channels…

I have a release candidate build to make available to you to confirm if the issue is fixed. Let me know which binary you need and I will send you a link

Hi sa2000, sorry I’m not sure what you mean by what binary. Can you elaborate please? I am happy to test.

Thanks

OK - i have gone back to your logs and i can see it is windows PMS binary is what you need. Sending you link. (I was after the platform)

Thanks, I have just installed this version and can confirm that it has resolved the issue.

Thank you for the test

Can you send me the link for Ubuntu/Linux please? Would be interesting to see if it’s fixed my issue to…

Cheers in Advance

Dave

I too am having an issue with my tuners not starting up a stream. I run Windows 2016 Server. It was working and stopped as about a few weeks ago. I have 3 cards, 2 USB and 1 PCI-E. The USB are Hauppage 955 and the PCI-E is Hauppage 1800. May I have this binary to see if that will fix it before I downgrade the software?

The fix to extend the timeout has now been released in 1.13.9.5456

See Plex Media Server

  • (DVR) Extend initial timeout value for live TV tunes to avoid giving up on a tune too early (#9211)

Started to look at your logs - it would help if you tell at time xxx this happened and time xxxx this happened and that a recording scheduled for xxxx failed or a live tv session at time xxx aborted

Hi @sa2000 It happened today and a couple of the days sometime around 1400’ish but it also happens when 2 or more streams are happening and it just goes into “Playback Error” on screen, always on the channel my 3 year old son watches which is strange?

I’ve attached Yesterdays and todays from the latest version for you to see too…

Oh the recording schedules are around then and 1800 also, but todays there was no one else streaming other than myself testing it and it just dropped out totally around 1445 if memory serves me correctly
