Plex Web is returning error “Source unavailable” when selecting any channel in the guide. All other clients including mobile, Apple TV and Desktop clients are working fine.
Find the Codecs folder, shut the server down and clear out the files then restart.
I’m having exactly the same issue. Where is the codecs folder? Using M1 Mac Mini and 1.27.1.5916.
Not a Mac user but try ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Codecs
This error has many causes, first I would say don’t use the web client, second if you use the web client be sure to try the Plex hosted version https://app.plex.tv/web since it is the most up to date.
If the main or epg databases are corrupt then you can get this.
Clearing out the codecs folder did not resolve the issue
Make sure video transcoding is enabled server side if using the web client.
Ah yes, now I know how / why I broke it. My Synology NAS really can’t handle any transcoding and I disabled it at one point. Will stick to the Desktop clients then.
