Live TV and the nice guide/grid-schedule are available on both the iPhone app and Plex Web UI. However, to get access to these on my Xbox client for my synology server, I am required to buy and install a tuner. My request is to allow any client to access the Live TV and guide/grid-schedule features without having to purchase a tuner.
What I am referring to as Live TV here is not digital antenna channels or DVR features. I am referring to the lovely slate of free TV channels that come with Plex Pass, available in the guide feature.
I see a few other posts requesting this with varying answers as to why it is not feasible, but my iPhone is also a client to my synology server, and I am able to watch the free Live TV channels there. There must be a way to do the same on the Xbox client (and all other clients for that matter).
