Sure would be nice if the plex devs would figure out why subtitles are so broken and or just give the option to turn off all subs unless client chooses them on my server language settings and fixing the options for NONE and adding a NEVER option. I’m frustrated with having to disable subs and it still failing to not burn in, or just crashing the stream all together.
Having to use a work around for devices because of subtitle issues for live tv, and having sub forced on all platforms sucks.
EDIT: after further testing, Web doesn’t like to disable subtitles when forced to on serverside, even tho its set to prefered language of “none”, the samsung app has a “never burn” option, and thats fine, but the android version doesn’t, on new and old versions, so it appears that the CCwGTV version respects the server side preferred language, because even though the subs was “unknown” it didnt show the subs, and turning them “off” does nothing and often results in a crash of the stream.
