Starting today I have been unable to play any live tv with Plex using a HDHomeRun Prime. This error is showing up on iOS, TVOS, MacOS, and Samsung TV Apps. The error is -1, whatever that means. The channels tune and start to play fine, but timeout at about 20-30 seconds. In order to rule out any tuner issues I used the HD App to tune cable channels and they work fine there. I’m able to tune many different channels and they don’t time out. Is Plex having server issues? I have made no changes to network or hardware. Coincidentally, both the iOS and TVOS apps have received updates with the experimental video player and LiveTV. Is this a system-wide outage? Anyone else unable to view live TV?
PS: Just tried the HDHomeRun App while troubleshooting this issue and WOW…much much better experience than Plex. Channels tune almost instantly and everything is just so smooth there. Plex only seems to get in the way of enjoying Live TV and this whole experience is starting to suck. I have less than 30Days on my lifetime subscription, I might call my bank up and reverse that charge. I feel duped!! I spend more time on Google searching for fixes for Plex than I do actually enjoying my media!!
